This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | 고수선은 제주 최초의 여성 의사로, 일제에 저항한 항일운동가였다. 1898년 탄생하였고, 1989년 사망하였다. 제주여성교육기관인 신성여학교를 수학한 뒤 관립 경성여자고등보통학교로 진학했다. 3.1만세운동 전개과정에서 학교의 잠겨진 교문을 도끼로 부수며 독립운동에 뛰어들었다. 군자금 모금 활동으로 임시정부에 독립자금을 보냈으며 일제의 감시를 받았다. 최초 의학전문학교 청강생으로 의학도의 길을 걸어 제주 최초 여의사가 되어 의원을 운영했으며, 교사, 의사, 정치인, 사회복지가 등 다방면으로 활동했다. 독립운동의 서훈으로 애족장을 받았다.[1]
